We may display ads to cover the site's operating costs. This page explains what kinds of ads appear and where, and how you can turn them off if you prefer not to see them. Effective date: October 2, 2026
1. Displaying Ads
The site displays ads through Google AdSense, an advertising service from Google LLC (planned). Ads appear only in set places at the top and bottom of posts and on the home page, and Google automatically decides which ads are shown. The site operator does not select individual ads or provide users' personal information to advertisers.
2. Personalized Ads
Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. For details on the information collected, how long it is kept, and other matters related to behavioral information processing, see our Privacy Policyand Cookie Policyis noted there.
The way Google uses data for ads is Google Ads policyand Partner site data use guidecan be found in.
3. Turn off personalized ads
- Google Ad Settingslets you turn off personalized ads.
- Personalized ads from other ad companies are aboutads.infocan be turned off.
- Mobile: On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You can also block third-party cookies in your browser. Even if you turn off personalized ads, you may still see general ads that aren't based on your interests.
4. Separating Ads from Content
Ads are shown in a separate area from the post body, and we don't style ads to look like part of the text. We don't encourage or ask for ad clicks, and ads don't influence the content or ratings of a post.
Preventing invalid clicks: If the same visitor clicks ads repeatedly in a short time, we log it, and depending on settings, we may hide ads from that visitor for 24 hours. To tell visitors apart, we use a one-way encrypted value made from their IP address and browser information, which changes every day (we don't store the original IP). These logs are deleted after 7 days.
5. Sponsored and Affiliate Content Labels
Posts about products or services we received for free or wrote in exchange for payment, and posts containing affiliate links (links that earn a commission on purchase), clearly disclose the financial relationship in the title or opening section, with labels such as "Ad," "Sponsored," or "Contains affiliate links," in line with the Korean Fair Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsement and advertising review. Posts without a label were written without compensation.
6. External Links
External sites included in ads and posts follow their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for transactions or personal data handling on external sites, so please check their policies before using them.
7. Advertising and Partnership Inquiries
For ads, sponsorships, and partnership proposals, please send them to hi@choidev.comWe review proposals based on whether they fit the direction of the site and help readers, and if we proceed, we label them according to the principles above.
